Willow Weekly T3W2

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope it was restful and fun for you all. Here are the highlights for our week back:

Short Week

We do not have school this Friday. Enjoy the 3-day weekend!

Spelling

Spelling tests will be on Thursday this week, due to not having school on Friday. Lists were not scanned in the hubbub of last Thursday. If anyone needs a replacement list, please let me know!

Wordly Wise

We will take the Cumulative Test for Lessons 1-5 this Thursday. Students will not have an assignment due but may study for the test by reviewing the past lessons.

Literature Circles

We completed the second cycle right before the break. Right now we are in “pause” mode while new books are selected for the third cycle. Stay tuned!

IRP

Students will be getting back their edited drafts for their first chapter this week, and will have the second chapter draft due Thursday. Chapter revisions are not due until all drafts are completed, so at the this point the edits can be used as suggestions or reminders as they continue drafting.

Poetry Jam

Our second annual Poetry Jam is this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Families are welcome to attend. Students interested in participating may have up until the end of the day Wednesday to turn in their poems.
