About Ms. Kiersten
Hi, there! I'm Kiersten. I'm a Los Angeles native and California transplant. I moved to Michigan in 2011 and I've been teaching here ever since! I live in Ferndale with my life partner Ben, an orange tabby named PawPaw, and a bearded dragon named Pupusa. My hobbies are drawing, pickling/fermenting, watching delightfully bad movies, and hiking/camping. My special talents are doodling and coming up with spontaneous rhyming poetry. The things I value most about myself are my creativity, my determination, my sense of humor, and my kindness and caring for humanity.

About Ms. Chara
Hi families! I’m Chara! I am lucky to have been placed in the Willow room for two wonderful years. Prior to finding the Willow room I lived in Phoenix, Arizona where I grew up. I moved here to Michigan in 2014 with my husband, Calahan and my naughty dogs, Cinnabun and Buddy. The rest of my family is spread all over the United States! My four siblings and parents reside all the way from Phoenix, to Austin, Denver, and Fort Lauderdale. If I am not travelling to see my family, I like to spend my time running, knitting, or cuddling my dogs.
