Willow Weekly #11

Good Morning, Willow Families!

Please excuse my long absence after the holiday! Here are the important updates for the Willow Room this week:

1) Book reports will be due on Monday, December 5th, due to the 4th grade field trip this Friday. Students will be instructed to prepare a 2 to 3 minute presentation "previewing" their book sequel. Think of it as the jacket flap teaser on best sellers.

2) Lit Circles have officially shifted over to Wednesdays and Fridays. This means that homework is due this Wednesday, 11/30. The website academics page will reflect this change.

3) Wordly Wise has also officially shifted over to Thursdays. Otherwise, the pacing of the assignments will not change.

4) These schedule changes have mostly been made to try and give the students more uninterrupted work times throughout the week.

5) GEOGRAPHY: Students should be wrapping up their drafts this week and starting on final copies. Final copies may be typed or handwritten, and should be put into a report folder to turn in. I will be outlining this for them this week at geography time. If you have any questions about due dates or requirements, please feel free to contact me!

6) I will be in Lansing tomorrow for my monthly training, but will be available via email.
