Willow Weekly #7

Happy Monday, Willowers! Here are this week's updates:

1) Due to our field trip to see The Giver at Macomb Center for the Performing Arts this Wednesday, October 26 (and to not having school on Friday), we will be postponing Wordly Wise until next week. Homework from last week will not be due until Wednesday, November 2.

2) For similar reasons, Lit Circles will only be meeting once this week, on Tuesday, October 25. Students will be given the full week's worth of homework, to be due the following Tuesday, November 1st.

3) We are moving forward with our geography report outlines. Paragraphs 3 and 4 outlines are slated to be done this week. If your child still has not brought books to school, please try to get to the library as soon as possible so they do not fall too far behind.

4) We will be replacing time for working on our personal narrative writing with the school writing assessment for this year. We will talk about the expectations and grading for it today, Monday, and spend Wednesday afternoon completing them.

5) This Wednesday is my monthly training day in Lansing!

6) This week I will be compiling lists of Incomplete Works for all students. Depending on the length of the list for each student, individual decisions will be made regarding how the works will be completed. The list will include all shelf works and major assignments not completed from the beginning of the year, but not ongoing things such as math cards or word studies. A copy will be emailed home so that parents are aware of what needs to be completed.

7) Lastly, a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL THIS FRIDAY due to our monthly teacher work day. Child care will be provided but you must contact the office.
